How to troubleshoot slow speed issues on iOS

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Occasionally, you might experience reduced data speeds with your ORA eSIM due to network congestion, coverage gaps, or other factors. Use these steps on your iOS device to help restore optimal performance:

✈️ Toggle Airplane Mode On and Off

  1. Open Settings

  2. Enable Airplane Mode

    1. Tap the Airplane Mode toggle so it turns Green.

  3. Wait 15 seconds.

    1. This forces your iPhone to drop and re-establish connections with nearby towers.

  4. Disable Airplane Mode

    1. Return to Settings and tap Airplane Mode again to switch it off. Your device will reconnect to the network, which often resolves temporary slowdowns.

🔄 Restart Your iOS Device

  1. Access the Power-Off Slider

    1. Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Side (Power) button simultaneously until the power-off slider appears.

  2. Power Off

    1. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone.

  3. Power On

    1. After the screen goes dark, press and hold the Side button again until you see the Apple logo.

    2. A full reboot can clear temporary software glitches that may be impacting network speed.

📡 Select Network Operator Manually

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Cellular (or Mobile Service)

  3. Choose Your ORA eSIM Profile

    1. Under Cellular Plans, tap the ORA plan you installed (e.g., “3HK eSIM” or “Ubigi Global eSIM”).

    1. Tap Network Selection

  4. Disable Automatic

  5. Select Your ORA Provider

    1. From the list, choose the network name provided by ORA (for example, “3HK” or “Ubigi”).

    2. If you don’t see the ORA network, or if speed issues persist, contact ORA support for assistance.
