Best Practices for Engagements
Announce community matching.
Announce your partnership with Orbiit to your community and embed it as an offering in your community programming. Be sure to include the registration link in the announcement!
Sample text:
We are super excited to announce a new initiative we are starting with the help of Orbiit. Orbiit is a matchmaking engine powering curated community connections at scale. Think of it as a blind date but for professionals β and with the help of AI, not a friend's recommendation. When you sign up, you'll be matched with another member of the community for a virtual conversation β you choose the topic, date, and time. Orbiit will handle the rest.
π‘ Callout that the program is an optional, monthly* recurring program and if you register, you are expected to attend your meeting or reschedule for a later date.
*Adjust language to align with your engagement cadence
.
Promote internally on non-email channels.
You'll have access to the sign-up link for each engagement once the form is live, so feel free to use it on Slack, Circle, LinkedIn Groups, or wherever you communicate with your community. If you're seeking promotional language, you can reference our internal promotion guide.
π‘ For the highest amount of engagement, aim to share the registration link a minimum of 3 times through different medium touchpoints and times of day. (e.g. Orbiit invite email, Orbiit reminder email, community Slack message or newsletter)
If it's your first round...
Plan to send out an announcement email the day the Orbiit invite goes out so your audience hears firsthand from you and knows to expect an invite email from Orbiit. Utilize our recommended announcement copy for one-to-one and group matches.
π‘ Embed Orbiit 1:1 conversations and/or group matching as part of your community's onboarding experience.
Generate excitement and showcase value.
Include stats or anonymized testimonials in your opt-in invite or reminder emails to build excitement and showcase the value of these conversations. See sample text below. *Client to update copy in italics.
