What is it?
The leases tab helps you understand and easily navigate up and down a hierarchy of registered interests. It displays ownership, lease term (if known), any notes and links to other titles contained within the schedule.
How does it work?
It will appear on titles that either:
a) have a schedule of leases within their register and you have loaded the register;
b) or titles that appear within the schedule of leases on a title for which you have loaded the register.
Identify the freehold title using the Land Reg map layers (only overlay orange freehold).
Order the register for the title which you suspect to be the parent freehold.
The leases tab will now load on any title mentioned in the schedule of leases.
When you load the register for leasehold titles that contain a further Schedule of Leases, your existing lease hierarchy will be built out (see below example).
This Lease Hierarchy should be considered complementary to the Schedule of Leases in an Official Copy Register. Please note only registered leasehold will be included, not short leases.
An example:
To generate this lease hierarchy I have ordered the registers for NGL634727 and BGL10281 which both contain a schedule of leases that reference BGL10281.
