You can use the Orbital Witness unregistered land feature to quickly spot areas of unregistered land, large or small, and Cautions Against First Registration.
Simply turn on the "Unregistered Land" map layer, found in the "Map Layers" button. This blacks out all registered land and leaves unregistered land blank. You will notice roads are usually left blank.
Cautions Against First Registration are highlighted in red. Click on them to view more information, including details of the caution when you load the register.
By default we only show unregistered Freeholds, you can activate the Leasehold layer too to "black out" any registered Leaseholds.
You can change the map background ("Map Layers" button) to accentuate unregistered land or see a satellite image of the area. You can also take create a site plan (previously called Snapshot) by using the Download Site Plan button if you want to share this image.
