How are EPCs matched to titles on Orbital Witness?
All EPCs are matched to title numbers via Unique Property Reference Numbers (UPRN). A UPRN is a unique identifier for an addressable location in the UK and allows us to link the EPC to a title number.
Some EPCs & do not currently come with a UPRN as part of their certificate, which means they will not be linked to a title number in Orbital Witness. Some title numbers also do not have a known UPRN so are unable to be linked to EPCs. This is something that is improving over time, but unfortunately isn't up to 100% coverage.
As a result, we provide the gov.uk link for you to check the EPC register directly.
Where does your EPC data come from?
We obtain our EPC data from the Open Data Communities. This data is updated on a quarterly basis and is also updated in Orbital Witness at this time.
