How do I earn credits with the Orbit CME browser extension?

If you read articles in your browser as part of your work, the Orbit CME browser extension converts that browsing in to credit.

Note

Before you this, make sure you have:

Browsing and reading eligible articles

1. Search for articles on your favorite medical sites, like PubMed and Radiopaedia. The Orbit icon turns blue when it recognizes eligible content

Wikipedia is not eligible for credits. Orbit browser icon is greyed out.

PubMed is eligible for credit. Orbit browser icon is blue.

  • Click on the Orbit icon on your browser toolbar if you want to confirm that your article is being detected for credit. This is purely optional. You don't need to click on the icon to receive credit.

2. Read the article as you normally would. Orbit works in the background to capture relevant information and check if they are eligible for credit.

Earning credits

There are two ways to do this:

(A) If you want to claim credits after every article

Click on the floating Orbit CME icon on the right side of your screen, to open the right side panel.

On the right side panel, follow the prompts to tag the article and answer the post-article survey.

(B) If you want to do uninterrupted reading

Check the History tab on your Orbit Dashboard to see all articles detected by Orbit.

Click Redeem and follow the prompts to redeem an article for credit.
