I would like instructions on how to upgrade the application.
How do I conduct a fresh install of the product on a new laptop?
Please complete the following steps to upgrade:-
Note 1: If the installation has a separate application server and database server, SetupOrchestrate.exe must be run on the database server first and the user must log into Orchestrate from the database server to run the database update scripts. Then, the SetupOrchestrate.exe can be run on the application server.
Note 2: If you are upgrading to Orchestrate version 7.74 or above, your databases must be on SQL server 2016 or above.
1. Phone support so we can provide you with the executable file.
2. Create a backup of the Orchestrate database from the SQL server before starting the upgrade. The backup can then be restored if the upgrade does not complete.
3. Log into the server/client computer on which to install the software using the Administrator account.
4. Run the executable file SetupOrchestrate.exe to see the Orchestrate Planner installation wizard.
5. Click OK. The installation process begins.
6. Messages asking to accept licence agreements for any prerequisites that will be installed automatically will appear.
7. This may have to be done several times, depending on the number of required components that are not already present on the computer.
8. Follow the wizard to finish the installation.
9. If this is on a server then please login to Orchestrate as some database changes will be required.
Note 3: You must be logged in as administrator or have admin rights otherwise the update scripts will not run.
10. Select more options to expand the Orchestrate login form and select the relevant database.
11. Log into Orchestrate and the database scripts will automatically run to upgrade the database.
12. On the client computers, repeat the upgrade process.
