Track usage

Use My Account or our app to track your energy use on your phone, or check the first page of your bill for some useful stats.

Short answer

  • You can track your energy use in My Account or the Origin app. See 'What you can do' in this article for instructions.

  • Your average daily usage and exports, and usage over time is also on the third page of your bill.

What you can do

  1. Login to My Account or the Origin app.

  2. From the dashboard, select Usage.

    You’ll see one of two usage views depending on whether you have a smart meter or a basic meter.

    If you have a smart (or digital) meter, you’ll be able to see bill period, monthly, daily and hourly usage in multiple tabs. You can switch between cost and unit views to see how much electricity you’ve used.

    If you have a basic meter, you’ll see your usage by bill period, including how much electricity you’re using alongside your charges.

Important notes

  • When you view your usage online, in the app or on a paper bill, it won’t show discounts, rebates or concessions.
