Our energy specialist will cancel your existing request and create a new one for your move. You’ll see your revised move status in My Account or the Origin app when you log in.
And if you move to a property in Queensland, they'll also update your visual safety inspection booking – or cancel it if it’s no longer needed.
Important notes
We need a little time to get organised (particularly if you’re moving with natural gas). Give us at least four business days’ notice before your new move-in date. (Notice timings depend on the state you live in and the time you place your request.) We understand things can change suddenly, and we’ll do our best to help if you can’t give us the notice we need.
If you change your move date right before your existing request is due to go through, your power or natural gas may be switched off in line with your initial request. We’ll discuss the likelihood of this happening with you when you call to change your move date.
Origin doesn’t charge moving fees but your distributor may charge disconnection and/or connection fees (which we pass through to you on your bill). Fees vary depending on the state you live in. See Moving fees for more info.
