If your new internet service isn’t working as expected, the issue may be caused by either a cable configuration problem or a router configuration issue.

Some general tips to assist with your connection

  1. Check for outages in your area.

  2. Check that all your cables are plugged in and connected to the correct ports as directed by your modem guide. Turn off your modem for at least 10 seconds before turning it back on and wait a few minutes. This usually fixes the problem right away!

  3. Position yourself near your modem to eliminate potential Wi-Fi signal problems. Then, step away and observe the strength of the Wi-Fi signal.

  4. Complete a speed test. You can run a speed test to test the strength of your internet connection.

If your connection doesn’t work after those initial trouble shooting tips, please refer to our trouble shooting page and follow the steps according to your connection type. Or call our friendly experts who will be able to assist you.
