Summary

Manage your electricity and natural gas accounts through My Account or the Origin app.

You’ll see information about current usage and energy plan(s) and have the freedom to manage a number of tasks – like changing energy plans, paying bills, setting up payment plans and direct debit, updating your details and more.

What you can do

Get started

Register for My Account then log in. You might also like to download the Origin app.

Billing and payments

Set up and make payments (incl. direct debit and payment plans)

  • Make a payment: Dashboard > ​Make a payment link

  • Set up or change payment, incl. direct debit: Dashboard > ​Bills & payments link > Payment settings link > ​(Payment method) Edit link

  • Update payment method (debit/credit card/bank account): Dashboard > ​Bills & payments link > Payment settings link > ​(Payment method) Edit link

  • Cancel direct debit (if no debt on account): Dashboard > ​Bills & payments link > Payment settings link> (Payment method) Edit link > Pay when due

  • Set up or change a payment plan (if no debt on account): Dashboard > Bills & payments link > Payment settings link > (Payment frequency) Edit link > Payment plan

  • Cancel payment plan: Dashboard > Bills & payments link > Payment settings link > (Payment frequency) Edit link > Billing cycle

View past bills and payments

  • See past bills: Dashboard > Bills & payments link (scroll down) Bills filter > download PDF

  • See past payments: Dashboard > Bills & payments link (scroll down) > Payments filter

Account management

Update personal and contact details

My Account

  • Change your name or date of birth: Dashboard > My Profile menu > View my profile

  • Update your email, phone number or postal address: Dashboard > My Profile menu > View my profile

Origin app

  • Change your name or date of birth: More icon (bottom of screen) > View my profile

  • Update your email, phone number or postal address: More icon (bottom of screen) > View my profile

Update contact preferences (change to email bills, manage offers)

My Account

  • Get bills and important notices by email: Dashboard > My Profile menu > Contact preferences > Email option

  • Update your preference for how you hear about offers: Dashboard > My Profile menu > Contact preferences > Update preferences button > Choose and save your preferences

Origin app

  • Get bills and important notices by email: More icon (bottom of screen) > Contact preferences link > Email option

  • Update your preference for how you hear about offers: More icon (bottom of screen) > Contact preferences > Update preferences button > Choose and save preferences

Move in or out

My Account

  • Book your move: Dashboard > Plans & Properties menu > Move in

  • Disconnect a property* (remove energy supply): Dashboard > Plans & Properties menu > Disconnect a property

Origin app

  • Book your move: More icon (bottom of the screen) > Move in

  • Disconnect a property* (remove energy supply): More icon (bottom of the screen) > Disconnect a property

*If you’re transferring to another energy provider, you don’t need to disconnect your property. Instead, they’ll let us know when you’ve moved across then we’ll send you your final bill.

Contact us through My Account or the Origin app

  • Contact us through My Account: Dashboard > My Profile menu > Contact us

  • Contact us through the Origin app: More icon (bottom of the screen) > Contact us

Energy products and services (includes meter reads)

Set up, view and change energy plans

My Account

  • View plan details, including when it ends and rates: Dashboard > View plan link

  • Change/Renew plan: Dashboard > Plans & Properties menu > Change my plan/Renew my plan

  • Change/Renew plan: Dashboard > View plan link > Change my plan/Renew plan link

Origin app

  • View plan details, including when it ends and rates: Dashboard > View plan link

  • Change/Renew plan: More icon (bottom of screen) > Change my plan/Renew my plan

Get usage info

  • See usage and solar feed-ins (if applicable): Dashboard > Usage link

  • Download usage data: Dashboard > Usage link > Download usage data link

Get meter info (incl. next meter read date) and submit reads

    Usage link > (scroll down) > About your electricity/natural gas meter (expand to view details)

  • Submit a meter read: Dashboard > Billing & Payments menu > Submit a meter read

Get a payment extension

If your bill is due soon or not more than two weeks past the due date, you'll see a payment extension link on the dashboard. If you meet this condition, see our Get a payment extension article for instructions.

Outages and safety

Find your distributor's emergency phone number (for power outages/emergencies)

Log in and out

Log in

Log in to view your My Account dashboard. You'll see your:

  • energy account types

  • bill period

  • cost to date, cost per day and predicted bill

  • account balance

  • energy advice article

  • rewards and offers

Having trouble logging in?

  1. Make sure you enabled cookies on your browser – tutorial here

  2. If you have an adblocker installed, please disable it - tutorial here

  3. Try using another device if you can, or try a different browser

  4. If you're using VPN, please turn it off

If you still have problems logging in, let us know by using this form.

Passwordless log in

You can log in to My Account without a password. To do so:

  1. On the My Account log in page click on 'Log in without a password'.

  2. Enter email address linked to your Origin account.

  3. We'll send you an email with a one-time log-in link.

  4. Click on the link to get logged in.

What you need to know:

  • You can use the the log-in link only once.

  • The log in link expires within 10 minutes from requesting it.

  • You will stay logged in on the device you used until you manually log out.

Can't access My Account through the one-time link?

  1. Make sure you're using the same device you requested the link from e.g.: if you requested the link from your phone, use your phone. The link won't work if you switch devices.

  2. Use the same browser you requested the link from e.g.: if you requested the link using Chrome, use Chrome to access it. The link won't work if you switch browsers.

  3. Use the link within 10 minutes from when you requested it.

  4. Use the link only once.

Not getting the link?

  1. Check if your email address is correct. You need to use email address linked to your Origin account.

  2. Check your junk mail, 'Other' or 'Promotions' tab.

  3. Check if your inbox is full. If it is full, you may not be able to receive emails.

  4. If none of these are the issue you can request a new link by clicking ‘Request new link'.

Log out

  • Log out of My Account: My Profile menu > Log out

  • Log out of the Origin app: More icon (bottom of the screen) > Log out
