The most likely reason you’ve received an estimated bill is because a meter reader had trouble accessing your meter. For example, there may have been a dog off the lead, locked meter box, overgrown bushes or beehive obstructing access to your meter. Next time make sure the meter reader has clear access.

To find out your next meter read date, simply view your plan details, scroll down and find Next meter read. If there's clear access, your next bill will be based on your actual usage.

You can also send us your meter reading yourself. It’s pretty easy, just follow the steps in How to read your meter.

Heads up, you can tell if your bill is based on an estimated or actual reading by looking in the 'Total charges' section. You’ll see either an (A) or (E) after the meter reading numbers, A = actual and E = estimated.
