Any credit in your old account won’t be lost – you can apply for a transfer or refund.
You can transfer credit to your new property’s account, or apply for a refund, by logging in to My Account and going to Transfer or refund my credit. It can take up to 11 business days to transfer credit from one account to another.
A refund takes between 5 and 21 business days to process, depending on how you choose to receive it:
Bank account and credit or debit card – 5 to 10 working days
BPay (only available if you paid by BPay) – 5 to 10 working days
Cheque in the post – up to 21 working days
If you’re leaving Origin, you can request a refund after your account is closed and we’ve sent you your final bill. If you can’t access My Account, head to Live Chat to let us know if you’d prefer this refunded to your bank account or card. Otherwise we’ll post you a cheque.
