LPG gas bottles exchanges and refills by hose

45 kg gas bottle exchange

We offer a 45 kg LPG bottle exchange, which lets you order LPG by the bottle when you need it. When you select this type of supply, we charge per bottle and bill you after a successful delivery.

Depending on your setup, you’ll order one or more 45 kg gas bottles. Then, when a bottle is empty, reorder LPG and our LPG delivery driver will come to your home and swap your empty bottle for a full one.

If you have two or more bottles, to keep your gas flowing, we suggest you reorder when one bottle is empty.

An annual LPG equipment fee applies to gas bottle exchanges, and we bill this fee in advance. Go to Manage your LPG Account and select the Equipment fee tab for more info.

Refills by hose

Auto-scheduled refill by hose is where we’ll fill up your LPG cylinder or tank on site.

We’ll work out a schedule that suits based on what you use LPG for, how much you’ve used in the past and when we deliver near you. This method works well for main residences and holiday homes alike.

When you select this type of supply, we charge you per litre of LPG supplied and bill you after a successful delivery.

Metered LPG

Metered gas networks supply LPG to your property when natural gas isn’t available. And just like natural gas, metered LPG is piped directly into your home – so you have a constant gas supply.

If you’re on metered LPG, your home has its own gas meter.

We calculate the charges at regular intervals for the volume of gas that passes through the meter. We bill approximately every three months, based on how much gas you’ve used plus a daily supply charge for the length of the billing period.

LPG bulk hot water– with or without unmetered appliances

Bulk hot water is often supplied in housing where there are shared facilities, like flats, units and apartments. This means instead of having a hot water tank in each apartment, flat or unit, there’s a central bulk hot water system.

If you have LPG bulk hot water, your apartment, flat or unit has its own hot water meter. You may also have unmetered LPG to fuel cooktops, BBQs, and central heating and cooling when you have metered hot water.

For:

  • bulk hot water, we calculate your charges at regular intervals for the volume in litres of hot water measured by the hot water meter

  • unmetered LPG, we charge a daily rate for the length of your billing period

Your building’s meter read cycle determines when you’re billed. For many, we bill approximately every three months, and for some it could be more often. Your bill is based on the amount of hot water you’ve used, the flat, daily unmetered charge (if applicable) plus the daily supply charge for the length of the billing period.
