Renew or change your energy plan

Renewing your energy plan is easy. We'll get in touch 20 days before your plan ends and you can do it in just a few minutes online.

What you can do

Prepare to compare – know what you’re on now

Before you decide whether to renew or change your plan, make sure you know exactly what plan you’re on.

  1. Log in to My Account or the Origin app

  2. From the dashboard, choose view plan

  3. Check your current usage, supply charge and any solar feed-in tariff, if applicable

Renew your plan

We’ll notify you when your energy plan is ending

You don’t have to wait until your plan ends to renew. You can do this any time after receiving a notification from us. This can be done through the website, My Account or through the Origin App.

Renew through My Account

  1. Log in to My Account

  2. From the Plans and properties menu, select Renew my plan then Get started. The screen summarises the number of plans that are due to end soon and shows the plans you can choose from.

  3. View the details then click Select plan to choose your new plan

  4. Follow the prompts. This also leads you through selecting a second plan if you’re renewing more than one, and to signing up online.

Renew through the Origin app

  1. Log in to the Origin app

  2. Tap More, then under Plans and properties tap Renew my plan

  3. Tap Get started. The Renew your plan screen summarises the number of plans that are due to end soon and shows the plans you can choose from.

  4. View the details then tap Select plan to choose your new plan

  5. Follow the prompts. This also leads you through selecting a second plan if you’re renewing more than one, and to signing up through the Origin app.

Change your plan anytime

You can change your plan at any time through the Origin website, My Account and the Origin App. There are no exit fees, so you can choose the plan that suits you and your needs at the time.

  1. Log in to My Account

  2. Choose View plan

  3. In the rates section choose Change plan

  4. Compare and select the plan that best suits your needs

After choosing your new plan, you’ll need to follow the steps to complete the switch.

Change plan through the Origin website

  1. Log in to My account

  2. Enter your connection address and check the box for the plan type you want Electricity, natural gas and solar. You may need to confirm your address or enter it manually

  3. Compare and select the plan that best suits your needs

  4. Select drop-down and choose Renew or change my plan

  5. Follow the steps to complete your plan set up

When you’ve renewed or changed your plan

After you’ve renewed or changed your plan, we will send confirmation with all the details you need.
