TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter and the prize(s) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions must be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions for participation in the Origin Spike program, found here: https://www.originenergy.com.au/help-support/earn-rewards/spike/spike-terms-and-conditions. All capitalised terms not defined in these Terms and Conditions are to be interpreted in accordance with the Origin Spike program terms and conditions.
2. Entry is only open to NSW, VIC, ACT, SA and QLD residents aged 18 years or over who are Origin residential electricity customers with a Digital Meter that can be read remotely and are or become members of the Origin Spike Program and meet the automatic entry requirements outlined within clause 5 below.
3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
4. Entries into the promotion open on 01/07/24 and close at 11:59pm AEDT on 31/10/2024 (“Promotional Period”).
5. To receive an automatic entry, entrants must complete either of the following during the Promotional Period:
(a) Reduce their usage below their Average Energy Consumption during a SpikeHour; or
(b) A Connected Device(s) must be successfully controlled during Events.
If an entrant completes either of the above tasks, the entrant will:
(i) receive one (1) automatic entry into the next Monthly Draw; and
(ii) receive one (1) opportunity to spin a virtual wheel to win a prize.
For clarity, even if an entrant completes both tasks, they will only receive one (1) automatic entry and one (1) opportunity to spin the virtual wheel.
The Promoter will confirm by email once an entrant has completed one of the tasks above. Entrants must then;
(a) Visit their Spike dashboard on spike-app.originenergy.com.au and follow the prompts to the rewards page; and
(b) Click to spin the virtual wheel to reveal an instant prize, additional spins or additional Monthly Draw entries, as detailed further below.
6. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
7. Eligibility for entry into a Monthly Draw which is based on Digital Meter data is determined when an entrant’s Digital Meter data is calculated, NOT when an entrant participates in a SpikeHour.
8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
9. If no Digital Meter data is received or is received after the Promotional Period in respect of a particular participant’s entry into a Monthly Draw, that entry will be deemed invalid.
10. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
11. Every spin of the wheel will result in either: (i) the awarding of an instant prize; or (ii) the awarding of additional spins of the wheel; or (iii) the awarding of additional entries into the next Monthly Draw. The outcome will be determined via random electronic draw. Instant prizes, additional spins and additional Monthly Draw entries will be awarded randomly throughout the Promotional Period, based on the number of entrants and in accordance with the ratios as outlined in Schedule 1.
12. There will be one (1) draw conducted for the entries received each month of the Promotional Period for a total of four (4) draws (“Monthly Draws”). The Monthly Draws will take place at Anisimoff Legal, 3 Amy Close, Wyong NSW 2259 at 3:30pm AEST/AEDT (as the case requires) on the dates specified in the table below. Entries in each Monthly Draw will NOT be entered into any subsequent Monthly Draws. Winners will be notified in writing within two (2) business days of the relevant Monthly Draw and published on https://www.originenergy.com.au/help-support/earn-rewards/spike/spike-monthly-prize-winners on the dates specified in the table below:

13. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn.
14. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. The first valid entry drawn in each Monthly Draw will each win $1,000.00, credited to their Origin Energy Electricity account.
16. If an entrant fails to make use of an opportunity to spin the virtual wheel within the Promotional Period, the opportunity/ies will be forfeited.
17. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take/redeem a prize (or an element of the prize) at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
18. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
19. Total prize pool value is up to AU$437,107.00
20. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
21. All claims for instant win prizes must be received by 11:59pm AEDT on 11/12/24. For clarity, in order to claim any instant prize, winners must be an Origin residential electricity customer, or else their instant prize will be forfeited.
22. A draw for any prizes that are won but remain unclaimed may take place on 12/12/24 at the same time and place as the original draw in the presence of an independent scrutineer (if required), subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners, if any, will be notified by email within two (2) business days of the draw and their names will be published on https://www.originenergy.com.au/help-support/earn-rewards/spike/spike-monthly-prize-winners on 17/12/24.
23. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
24. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
25. Any cost associated with accessing any promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
26. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
27. Quality control errors will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim. Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions, all prize claims in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured.
28. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
29. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of/taking of a prize.
30. As a condition of accepting a Monthly Draw prize, a winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
31. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required by law, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Statements, which can be viewed at https://www.originenergy.com.au/privacy.html, and otherwise in accordance with the Privacy Act. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. Unless otherwise indicated by the Promoter, the Promoter may disclose PI to entities outside of Australia (for a list of the countries, see the Promoter’s Privacy Policy), and cannot guarantee that any overseas recipient will not breach the Australian Privacy Principles. By entering the promotion entrants consent to the overseas transfer on these terms as permitted by the Australian Privacy Principles and agree that the Promoter is not liable in this regard.

1. Information on how to enter and the prize(s) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions must be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions for participation in the Origin Spike program, found here: https://www.originenergy.com.au/help-support/earn-rewards/spike/spike-terms-and-conditions. All capitalised terms not defined in these Terms and Conditions are to be interpreted in accordance with the Origin Spike program terms and conditions.
2. Entry is only open to NSW, VIC, ACT, SA and QLD residents aged 18 years or over who are Origin residential electricity customers with a Digital Meter that can be read remotely and are or become members of the Origin Spike Program and meet the automatic entry requirements outlined within clause 5 below.
3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
4. Entries into the promotion open on 01/01/2024 and close at 11:59pm AEDT on 31/03/2024 (“Promotional Period”).
5. To receive an automatic entry, entrants must complete either of the following during the Promotional Period:
(a) Reduce their usage below their Average Energy Consumption during a SpikeHour; or
(b) A Connected Device(s) must be successfully controlled during Events.
If an entrant completes either of the above tasks, the entrant will:
(i) receive one (1) automatic entry into the next Monthly Draw; and
(ii) receive one (1) opportunity to spin a virtual wheel to win a prize.
For clarity, even if an entrant completes both tasks, they will only receive one (1) automatic entry and one (1) opportunity to spin the virtual wheel.
The Promoter will confirm by email once an entrant has completed one of the tasks above. Entrants must then;
(c) Visit their Spike dashboard on spike-app.originenergy.com.au and follow the prompts to the rewards page; and
(d) Click to spin the virtual wheel to reveal an instant prize, additional spins or additional Monthly Draw entries, as detailed further below.
6. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
7. Eligibility for entry into a Monthly Draw which is based on Digital Meter data is determined when an entrant’s Digital Meter data is calculated, NOT when an entrant participates in a SpikeHour.
8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
9. If no Digital Meter data is received or is received after the Promotional Period in respect of a particular participant’s entry into a Monthly Draw, that entry will be deemed invalid.
10. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
11. Every spin of the wheel will result in either: (i) the awarding of an instant prize; or (ii) the awarding of additional spins of the wheel; or (iii) the awarding of additional entries into the next Monthly Draw. The outcome will be determined via random electronic draw. Instant prizes, additional spins and additional Monthly Draw entries will be awarded randomly throughout the Promotional Period, based on the number of entrants and in accordance with the ratios as outlined in Schedule 1.
12. There will be one (1) draw conducted for the entries received each month of the Promotional Period for a total of three (3) draws (“Monthly Draws”). The Monthly Draws will take place at Anisimoff Legal, 3 Amy Close, Wyong NSW 2259 at 3:30pm AEDT/AEST on the dates specified in the table below. Entries in each Monthly Draw will NOT be entered into any subsequent Monthly Draws. 13. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn.
14. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. The first valid entry drawn in each Monthly Draw will each win $1,000, credited to their Origin Energy Electricity account.
16. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take/redeem a prize (or an element of the prize) at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
17. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
18. Total prize pool value is up to AU$202,132.75.
19. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
20. All claims for instant win prizes must be received by 11:59pm AEST on 12/05/2024. For clarity, in order to claim any instant prize, winners must be an Origin residential electricity customer, else their instant prize will be forfeited.
21. A draw for any prizes that are won but remain unclaimed may take place on 13/05/2024 at the same time and place as the original draw in the presence of an independent scrutineer (if required), subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners, if any, will be notified by email within two (2) business days of the draw and their names will be published on https://www.originenergy.com.au/help-support/earn-rewards/spike/spike-monthly-prize-winners on 15/05/2024.
22. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
23. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.

“ORIGIN SPIKE SPIN TO WIN JUNE 2023” PROMOTION
1. Information on how to enter and the prize(s) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions must be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions for participation in the Origin Spike program, found here: https://www.originenergy.com.au/help-support/earn-rewards/spike/spike-terms-and-conditions. All capitalised terms not defined in these Terms and Conditions are to be interpreted in accordance with the Origin Spike program terms and conditions.
2. Entry is only open to NSW, VIC, ACT, SA and QLD residents aged 18 years or over who are Origin residential electricity customers with a Digital Meter that can be read remotely and are or become members of the Origin Spike Program and meet the automatic entry requirements outlined within clause 5 below.
3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
4. Entries into the promotion open on 01/06/23 and close at 11:59pm AEDT on 30/06/23 (“Promotional Period”).
5. To receive an automatic entry, entrants must complete either of the following during the Promotional Period:
(a) Reduce their usage below their Average Energy Consumption during a SpikeHour; or
(b) A Connected Device(s) must be successfully controlled during Events.
If an entrant completes either of the above tasks, the entrant will:
(i) receive one (1) automatic entry into the draw; and
(ii) receive one (1) opportunity to spin a virtual wheel to win a prize.
For clarity, even if an entrant completes both tasks, they will only receive one (1) automatic entry and one (1) opportunity to spin the virtual wheel.
The Promoter will confirm by email once an entrant has completed one of the tasks above. Entrants must then;
(c) Visit their Spike dashboard on spike-app.originenergy.com.au and follow the prompts to the rewards page; and
(d) Click to spin the virtual wheel to reveal an instant prize, additional spins or additional draw entries, as detailed further below.
6. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
7. Eligibility for entry into the draw which is based on Digital Meter data is determined when an entrant’s Digital Meter data is calculated, NOT when an entrant participates in a SpikeHour.
8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
9. If no Digital Meter data is received or is received after the Promotional Period in respect of a particular participant’s entry into the draw, that entry will be deemed invalid.
10. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
11. Every spin of the wheel will result in either: (i) the awarding of an instant prize; or (ii) the awarding of additional spins of the wheel; or (iii) the awarding of additional entries into the draw. The outcome will be determined via random electronic draw. Instant prizes, additional spins and additional draw entries will be awarded randomly throughout the Promotional Period, based on the number of entrants and in accordance with the ratios as outlined in Schedule 1.
12. There will be one (1) draw conducted for the entries received during the Promotional Period (“Draw”). The Draw will take place at Anisimoff Legal, Suite 5, 210 Central Coast Highway, Erina NSW 2250 at 3:30pm AEST on 03/07/2023 The winner will be notified in writing within two (2) business days of the draw and published on https://www.originenergy.com.au/help-support/earn-rewards/spike/spike-monthly-prize-winners on 05/07/2023.
13. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn.
14. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. The first valid entry drawn in the Draw will win one (1) year of free electricity, valued at $2500, credited to their Origin Energy Electricity account. For clarity, one (1) year of energy has been calculated at $2500. The amount of $2500 will be awarded regardless of the winner’s electricity consumption.
16. If an entrant fails to make use of an opportunity to spin the virtual wheel within the Promotional Period, the opportunity/ies will be forfeited.
17. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason the winner does not take/redeem a prize (or an element of the prize) at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
18. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
19. Total prize pool value is up to AU$90,063.30.
20. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.
