What is Origin Internet Helper?

Origin Internet Helper is an app designed for Origin internet customers who need help with their network and internet connection. It can help you set up your modem, fix common issues with your modem and even help you improve your home network.

What can the app help you with?

The app allows you to easily troubleshoot any wi-fi or connectivity difficulties you're experiencing. Use the app if you’re having issues with:

  • Wi-fi coverage and wi-fi dropout issues

  • Slow internet speeds or you’re experiencing below expected speeds

  • Wi-fi devices not connecting

  • Modem and router issues

  • Slow video buffering or streaming

How to use Origin Internet Helper

  1. Download the free Origin Internet Helper app on your mobile phone from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Run a scan. Open the app and tap Network Scan to start the diagnosis

    1. Before you start the scan, it helps to stand within a metre of your modem or router

    2. The scan takes about two minutes to complete. Don’t minimise the app or check other notifications during the scan. After your scan is done, you’ll see your speed test results and suggestions on how to improve your network speed and coverage.

  3. Tap Improve Network Health at the bottom of the screen. You’ll then get useful tips on how to improve your internet connection. If the app can’t help you, each scan creates a unique, eight-digit code. Call us on 1300 980 711 and share this code with our team if you have more complex issues.
