How to Set Up Notification Channels

Configure where Orphex sends alerts, recommendations, and digest notifications — including email, Slack, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Teams.

Written by Furkan Savrun

TL;DR

Notification channels let you choose where Orphex delivers alerts, recommendations, and Email notifications. You can configure email, Slack, WhatsApp, or Microsoft Teams from Settings → Notifications, then enable or disable each channel anytime without losing the setup.

Setting up notification channels

Choose where Orphex sends alerts, recommendations, and digest notifications — including your inbox, Slack workspace, WhatsApp, or Microsoft Teams.

How notification channels work

Orphex sends notifications for three types of events:

  • Alerts & anomalies: significant changes detected in your campaigns

  • Recommendations : suggested optimization actions

  • Summary Emails : scheduled performance summaries

You can configure one or more delivery channels. Each channel only needs to be set up once and can be turned on or off at any time from Settings → Notifications.

Notification channels are workspace-based, not account-based.

This means any changes made here apply to the entire workspace and affect all users in that workspace.

Email

Add one or more email addresses to receive notifications. Each address receives its own copy.

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications

  2. Click Set up next to Email

  3. Enter an email address and press Enter or click the + button

  4. Repeat for additional recipients if needed

  5. Click Save

Once saved, the channel is enabled automatically.

To remove a recipient, remove the checkmark next to the email address and save your changes.

Newly added workspace users are automatically listed here and selected by default.

Slack

Orphex can send notifications to a Slack channel using an Incoming Webhook.

Step 1: Create a Slack webhook URL

  1. Go to api.slack.com/apps

  2. Click Create New App → From scratch

  3. Name your app (for example, Orphex Alerts) and choose your Slack workspace

  4. In the left sidebar, open Incoming Webhooks and turn it on

  5. Click Add New Webhook to Workspace

  6. Select the Slack channel where you want notifications to appear

  7. Click Allow

  8. Copy the generated webhook URL

    It should start with: https://hooks.slack.com/services/

Step 2: Add the webhook to Orphex

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications

  2. Click Set up next to Slack

  3. Paste the webhook URL

  4. Click Save

⚠️ Webhook URLs are sensitive. Anyone with the URL can post messages to that Slack channel, so avoid sharing it publicly.

WhatsApp

Orphex can send notifications to one or more WhatsApp numbers.

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications

  2. Click Set up next to WhatsApp

  3. Enter a phone number including the country code (for example, +90 532 123 4567)

  4. Press Enter or click the + button

  5. Add more numbers if needed

  6. Click Save

💡 Tip: Always include the country code.

Examples: Turkey +90, United States +1, United Kingdom +44

Microsoft Teams

Orphex can send notifications to a Microsoft Teams channel using an Incoming Webhook.

Step 1: Create a Teams webhook URL

  1. Open Microsoft Teams

  2. Navigate to the channel where you want to receive notifications

  3. Click the ··· menu next to the channel name

  4. Select Connectors

  5. Find Incoming Webhook and click Configure

  6. Give it a name (for example, Orphex)

  7. Optionally upload an icon

  8. Click Create

  9. Copy the generated webhook URL

Step 2: Add the webhook to Orphex

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications

  2. Click Set up next to Teams

  3. Paste the webhook URL

  4. Click Save

Managing and editing channels

Once a notification channel has been configured, you can:

  • Turn it on or off using the toggle switch

  • Edit the configuration by clicking Edit

  • Update recipients (for email or WhatsApp)

  • Replace the webhook URL (for Slack or Teams)

Turning a channel off does not delete its configuration. You can re-enable it at any time without setting it up again.

Troubleshooting

Not receiving emails

Check your spam or junk folder first. If needed, ask your IT team to whitelist: notifications@orphex.co

Slack webhook is not posting messages

Make sure the webhook URL is correct and the Slack app is still active in your workspace. If the app or webhook was removed, notifications will stop.

WhatsApp number is not receiving notifications

Confirm that the number includes the country code and is registered on WhatsApp.

Microsoft Teams webhook stopped working

If the legacy connector is no longer supported in your workspace, try creating a new Incoming Webhook using the Power Automate connector instead.

If the issue continues, use the chat widget in the bottom-right corner to contact our support team.
