Health Checks

Health Checks automatically scans your workspace for configuration issues and account errors. See what's being checked, how to fix flagged items, and how to dismiss or restore diagnostics.

Written by Furkan Savrun

Health Checks automatically monitors your workspace configuration and advertising account health. It identifies misconfigurations, missing setups, and performance issues across your connected platforms — so you can fix problems before they impact your campaigns.

How to Access

Go to Tools → Health Check in the left navigation menu.

How It Works

Health Checks runs a set of predefined checks against your workspace's integrations, configurations, and performance data. Each check evaluates a specific aspect of your setup and surfaces an item if an issue is detected.

When the underlying issue is resolved, the item is automatically removed — no manual action needed.

Items are grouped into two categories:

  • Needs Attention — Issues that may directly impact campaign performance or data accuracy. These should be addressed promptly.

  • Suggestions — Recommendations to improve your setup or take advantage of features you haven't configured yet.

Available Checks

Missing UTM Source / Medium Mapping

Type: Needs Attention

Checks whether your active integrations (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.) have UTM source and medium parameters configured. Missing UTM mappings can cause attribution gaps, making it difficult to trace conversions back to the correct channel.

What to do: Go to your workspace settings and configure the UTM source and medium values for each active integration.

Low Audience Size (Meta Ads)

Type: Needs Attention

Identifies Meta custom audiences where the upper bound of the audience size falls below 1,000 users. Audiences this small may lead to limited delivery, higher CPMs, and inconsistent performance.

Details shown: Audience name, source, type, description, retention days, number of ad sets using the audience, and size bounds.

What to do: Consider broadening your audience targeting criteria or merging small audiences into larger, more effective segments.

Product Tracking Gap

Type: Needs Attention

Detects products in your catalog labeled as "Tracking Gap" — meaning there is a discrepancy between ad spend and product-level revenue tracking. This typically indicates that conversions are being attributed to ads but cannot be matched to specific products.

Details shown: Product ID, product name, performance label, cost, clicks, impressions, and revenue.

What to do: Review your product feed and conversion tracking setup to ensure product-level attribution is working correctly.

GA4 Key Events Not Configured

Type: Suggestion

Checks whether you have defined GA4 key events (formerly conversions) for your workspace. Without key events, the platform cannot optimize bidding strategies or report on conversion performance from your GA4 data.

What to do: Navigate to your workspace settings and configure the key events you want to track from your GA4 property.

Custom Key Events Not Configured

Type: Suggestion

Checks whether custom key events have been defined for your workspace. Custom key events allow you to track business-specific conversion actions beyond standard GA4 events.

What to do: Define your custom key events in the workspace customization settings.

Disapproved or Limited Ads

Type: Needs Attention

Identifies ads that have an effective status of Disapproved or Active (Limited). Disapproved ads are not serving at all; limited ads may have restricted reach due to policy violations or targeting issues.

Details shown: Ad name, campaign, ad group, status, and platform.

What to do: Review the flagged ads in your advertising platform, check the policy violation details, and update your ad content or targeting to comply with platform policies.

Missing Asset Group Assets (Google Ads Performance Max)

Type: Needs Attention

Validates that your Performance Max asset groups meet Google's minimum asset requirements. Incomplete asset groups can significantly reduce ad combinations and limit campaign performance.

Details shown: Asset group name, campaign name, status, and a list of missing asset types.

What to do: Add the missing assets to the flagged asset groups in your Google Ads account to maximize ad strength and delivery potential.

Zero Ad Delivery

Type: Needs Attention

Finds ads that are marked as active but have received zero impressions over the last 7 days. This can indicate budget exhaustion, scheduling issues, audience saturation, or platform-level delivery problems.

Details shown: Ad metadata merged with impression data for the last 7 days.

What to do: Check the delivery status of the flagged ads in your advertising platform. Common causes include depleted budgets, overly narrow targeting, or ads stuck in review.

Missing Search Console Integration

Type: Suggestion

If your workspace has a Google Ads integration but no Google Search Console integration connected, this check will appear. Connecting Search Console provides organic search data that complements your paid search insights, enabling better holistic search analysis.

What to do: Connect your Google Search Console property in the workspace integration settings.

Integration Account Access Issues

Type: Needs Attention

Appears when the platform detects that it has lost access to one of your connected advertising accounts. This can happen when authentication tokens expire, account permissions are revoked, or account ownership changes.

What to do: Re-authenticate the affected integration in your workspace settings.

Dismissing and Restoring Items

If you've reviewed an item and it's not relevant right now, you can dismiss it. Dismissed items are hidden from the main view but can be restored at any time.

  • Dismiss: Click the dismiss action on any item card. The record will show who dismissed it and when.

  • Restore: Access dismissed items and click Restore to bring them back to the active list.

Note: If the underlying data changes — for example, the issue gets worse or new items are affected — a previously dismissed item will be automatically restored to ensure you don't miss important changes.

Automatic Updates

Health Checks are evaluated automatically as part of your workspace's regular data processing cycle. You don't need to trigger them manually. When an issue is detected, the item appears; when it's resolved, it's automatically removed.
