Turning things off is the change everyone makes most, and the one most likely to be forgotten on the platform nobody logs into. You can do it everywhere from one place.
Changes need your Orphex plan to include them, the switch to be on for that workspace, and editing rights for you.
Pausing one campaign, or everything that matches a rule
Naming a single campaign is easy enough in the platform itself. What is hard is pausing everything that meets a condition, across accounts you have not opened this week.
"Pause every ad group where we're paying more than double our usual cost per sale. Show me the list first."
You get the list of everything that would change. One yes covers all of it.
More like that:
"Is anything still running on Snapchat, X, Taboola or Criteo from the campaign we ended?"
"Pause the ads that haven't shown in the last month."
"Turn the three ad sets we paused for the holidays back on."
The campaign that should have stopped on Friday
You ran a test across four smaller platforms. Ending it properly means four logins, four interfaces, and four chances to forget one. That forgotten one keeps spending for a month.
Ask which of them is still spending, then pause them all in one approval.
Pause, archive and delete are not the same
What you do | What happens | Can you undo it |
Pause | It stops showing. Everything about it stays | Yes, turn it back on |
Archive | It stops showing and gets out of your way, history intact | Yes |
Delete | It is gone, and so is everything under it | No |
⚠️ Deleting is permanent. A deleted campaign takes its ad groups, ad sets and ads with it, and the preview counts what would go before you agree. Pause instead unless you are certain.
New things start paused
Anything the assistant creates for you, whether one ad or forty, arrives paused. Nothing spends until you turn it on, and turning it on is its own approval.
Orphex does not undo a creation. You can pause it, and removing it entirely is a delete.
Where this works
Pausing and restarting campaigns works on nearly every platform Orphex connects to, including the smaller ones. Ad-level control is narrower: on LinkedIn, Criteo and RTB House you work at the campaign level.
One thing to know about Reddit: changes work there, but Reddit does not yet show up in the reports. So if you ask "what is still spending", Reddit will not be in the answer. Name it directly if you want it paused.
What this does not do
Orphex does not change anything you have not seen and approved.
Orphex does not undo a delete.
Orphex does not include Reddit when you ask what is still spending.
Orphex does not schedule a pause for later. That is a different setting.
When something does not work
What you see | Why | What to do |
You paused it and it is still spending | Either delivery already in flight, or the campaign above it is still running | Check the campaign, not just the ad |
It will not pause an individual ad | That platform only works at campaign level | Pause the ad group or campaign instead |
Fewer things changed than you expected | Some were already paused | Ask what the current state is first |
You approved and nothing happened | The 15 minutes passed | Ask for a fresh confirmation. The preview lasts 24 hours |
Common questions
Can I pause lots of things at once?
Yes. You see the full list and one yes covers it.
Does pausing lose the campaign's learning?
No, not because of Orphex. What happens when you re-enable is the ad platform's own behaviour.
Can I undo a delete?
No. Pause instead unless you are certain.
Do new campaigns start running straight away?
No. Everything is created paused.
