What is staking?
Staking is a way of earning rewards for holding CNFI tokens. The holding is done inside of a staking pool, which you can add CNFI to at any time.
By staking CNFI tokens, you are supporting the underlying workings of Connect Financial, so users that stake tokens get several benefits:
Eligibility for relevant Connect Financial membership tiers,
Sign up for supplementary credit cards,
access to the daily reward pool,
Quarterly Treasury tokens,
bonuses on your stake through committing to a tier-based duration, and
How does staking work?
Staking runs entirely on smart contracts, which means that our system is autonomous and immediate.
There are two types of staking:
Basic staking does not commit you to a time lockup, and you can withdraw your staked tokens at any time. To activate your chosen membership tier or sign up for additional cards, you will need to stake CNFI.
sCNFI required (USD equivalent)
As well as becoming eligible for premium credit cards and account bonuses, you can also earn additional CNFI just by staking. There is a daily release of CNFI tokens defined by the current project stage. These released tokens are given to users that staked their tokens proportionally based on their CNFI stake.
For example, if there are 1,000,000 CNFI staked in the daily pool and you staked 20,000 CNFI, then your weight is 20,000/1,000,000, or 2% of the daily pool. If the daily reward allotment is 5,000, then you will earn 100 CNFI every day.
If you choose to commit your tokens for a set amount of time, you can earn an additional evolution bonus depending on your eligible card tier
Can I stake additional tokens?
You can always add more tokens to your stake. Simply return to your account tier and choose to stake tokens.
Alternatively, you can stake tokens in the Token Portal
How do I link my staked tokens to my account?
It only takes a few clicks to add stakes to your account. To begin with, you’ll want to make sure you have completed your account signup:
Create a Connect Financial account
Finish your KYC and onboarding task list
Connect your staking wallet
Then, to connect your staking wallet, login to your account and click on the profile button in the upper-right hand corner.
Your profile will automatically detect your stake amount based on how much sCNFI you have in that wallet. When you stake, the staking contract will call for sCNFI to be minted into your staking wallet address while the contract converts your CNFI.
