If your hearing aid isn't powering on, don't worry β this is usually an easy fix. Work through these steps in order.
Check 1: Is It Charged?
This is the most common cause.
Rechargeable models: Place the hearing aid in its charging case for at least 30 minutes before trying again. Make sure the case itself is plugged in and the indicator light is on.
Battery models: Replace the battery with a fresh one. Even new batteries can be drained if they've sat on a shelf. Make sure the battery tab is removed before inserting.
Check 2: Is It Seated Correctly in the Charger?
Remove the hearing aid from the case and reinsert it, ensuring the contacts are properly aligned. You should see the LED indicator on the case light up.
Try a different power source for the charging cable (different USB port or wall adapter).
Check 3: Try a Manual Reset
Press and hold the power/function button for 10 seconds. Release and wait 5 seconds, then press to power on.
For some models, opening and closing the battery door performs a reset.
Check 4: Inspect the Device
Check for debris, earwax, or moisture in the charging contacts. Clean gently with the included brush or a dry cotton swab.
Do not use water or cleaning liquids on the contacts.
