Bluetooth pairing issues are frustrating but almost always solvable. Follow these steps.
Step 1: Make Sure Bluetooth Is On
Open your phone's Settings and confirm Bluetooth is enabled. It sounds obvious, but this is often the culprit.
Step 2: Check the Hearing Aid's Pairing Mode
For most models, Bluetooth pairing mode activates automatically when you power on from the charging case for the first time, or when no paired device is remembered.
If previously paired to another device, you may need to factory reset the hearing aids to re-enter pairing mode. Refer to your model's guide or see Check 5 below.
Step 3: Use the Right Pairing Menu
iPhone users: Go to Settings → Accessibility → Hearing Devices — NOT the standard Bluetooth menu. iPhone pairs with MFi (Made for iPhone) hearing aids through Accessibility, not Bluetooth Settings.
Android users: Try Settings → Accessibility → Hearing Aids first. If not listed there, try Settings → Bluetooth → Pair New Device.
Step 4: Remove Old Pairings
If your hearing aids were previously paired to another phone or device:
On your old device, go to Bluetooth settings and "Forget" the hearing aids.
Or, factory reset the hearing aids (hold the button for 15 seconds or follow the reset procedure in your user guide).
Step 5: Restart Everything
Power off your hearing aids (place in charging case).
Turn off your phone's Bluetooth and turn it back on.
Restart your phone.
Remove the hearing aids from the case and attempt pairing again from scratch.
Step 6: Check for App Interference
If you're using the companion app, close it completely and attempt pairing through the phone's Settings first. Then re-open the app.
