Your hearing aids offer flexible sound controls so you can customize your listening experience. Here's how to use them.

Using the Physical Controls

Most models include one or more buttons on the device itself:

  • Single press: Increase volume

  • Double press: Decrease volume (or cycle to next program, depending on model)

  • Long press (3 seconds): Switch between listening programs (e.g., All-Around, Noisy Environment, TV Streaming)

Refer to the quick-start guide included in your box for the exact button layout for your model.

Using the Companion App

The companion app provides full control over your hearing aids:

  1. Download the app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Search for "iHear" or "Matrix" depending on your model.

  2. Open the app and ensure your hearing aids are paired via Bluetooth.

  3. From the app dashboard, you can:

  • Adjust overall volume

  • Independently adjust left and right volume levels

  • Change listening programs (presets designed for different environments)

  • Adjust bass and treble (some models)

  • Set automatic program switching based on your environment

Recommended Starting Settings

If you're new to hearing aids, start conservatively:

  • Keep volume at 60–70% of maximum for the first week.

  • Use the All-Around or Standard program in most environments.

  • Gradually increase as your ears and brain adapt to amplification.
