How can a sound help me?

Most people find that when the environment around them is quiet, their tinnitus becomes harder to ignore. In the Sounds library in the Oto app, you’ll find looping audio clips created to make your tinnitus less intrusive - they provide a background noise to serve as a distraction from your tinnitus.

The aim is to find a sound that can reduce your awareness of your tinnitus without needing to be played so loud that it becomes an annoyance itself. As all of us hear tinnitus differently, this might mean exploring the sounds to find one that works perfectly for you.

From simple white-noise to complex, ambient binaural beats, there are lots to choose from. Try using them to help you sleep at night.
