What are Daily Sessions?

Daily Sessions are a series of modules, designed to help you get to a place where you feel more in control.

How do I get started?

Start by hitting play on the Home screen. You’ll then be guided, step-by-step, through each session that follows.

Don't worry if some of it feels new - you can revisit sessions whenever you like. You can also add ones you find particularly useful to your Favourites, by tapping the heart icon.

What's in the Daily Sessions?

Oto's team of experts have developed a 'spiral curriculum', where each module will both deepen your understanding of what you've learnt so far and help you go further with new techniques and knowledge.

It’s made up of three components, which are the building blocks of each session in each module:

  • CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps you to notice how tinnitus is affecting you and gives you a way to change unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour, so you feel more in control

  • Mindfulness

These exercises help you to accept the thoughts and experiences you're having and learn how to gain a sense of control over them

  • Relaxation

These exercises will help you to relax, both physically and mentally, to reduce tension which may have been worsening your tinnitus

Give each of the sessions a go, even if you think they're not going to be for you - you might be surprised.

When should I do my Daily Sessions?

We recommend doing one session a day. You can do this at any point that works for you, but little and often is key. The tools you're learning will take practice, so keep at it by doing your therapy each day and having patience with yourself as you progress.

What is habituation?

With commitment and patience, Oto will help you gain a sense of control over your tinnitus, so that it disrupts your daily life less and less. That is what we call habituation: where you're so used to your tinnitus sound, you barely even notice it anymore. Your journey to habituation will be explained as you go.
