Creating your own tie-patterns

Updated over 3 months ago

If you can't find the tie-pattern you need in the Tie-Pattern Library you can create your own. Follow these steps to create a tie-pattern.

  1. From the “Scheduling Administration” screen, select “tie-patterns.”

  2. Create a new tie-pattern by selecting the # of tie-patterns you wish to create from the green drop-down menu.

  3. Enter the appropriate information (SEQ, Name, Description (optional), number of teams, and number of teams per game).

  4. Save this information.

  5. Click on the name of the new tie-pattern you just created

  6. You will see a drop-down that lists all of your other tie-patterns. Select the tie-pattern you would like to clone (this will not make changes to your previous tie-pattern).

  7. You can add more games to the new tie-pattern by selecting the # of games you wish to add from the drop-down at the top.

  8. You can view a distribution list that will show you how many games each team is playing and what the general tie-pattern looks like.

  9. If you need placement codes (ex. -999 = Finals) click on the Placeholder codes link at the top. You will NOT need to add a flight in for that tie-pattern. The negative sign denotes the name of the tie-pattern.
