Edge charges businesses a flat fee every month and the Employees at that location have a chance to earn up to half of that fee, every month.
For example, let's say Bob's Sandwich Shop is using Edge and pays Edge $300/month. The employees at Bob's Sandwich Shop can earn up to $150 every month. If the employees earn more than $150 in a given month (i.e. they earn $175) then the $25 would roll over to the following month.
The earnings that roll over to the following months are paid out on a first come first serve basis based on the date of the review, NOT based on the first employees that sign in and claim their funds. So for example, if Lennon has $50 sent to him in August, but doesn't log into Edge and claim his funds until October, that $50 will still be waiting for him. It would not get sent to anyone else.
The cap will reset on the 1st of each month and the Employees that are 'next up' (i.e. the Employees with the oldest, unpaid earnings) will be notified that they can sign in and claim their cash.
If you see the message in your Wallet section with Edge that says that your team has hit the cap for that month, it means that Edge has already paid up to the team-wide cap for the month (i.e. $150 in the above scenario).
The cap can vary from location to location, but typically is around $150-250 per month, depending on the plan your Employer has signed up for with Edge.
