This document will explain the process of tracking, distributing, and setting up new rewards through Edge's new Flex Reward program.
Tracking Rewards
To track the Rewards your employees are earnings, navigate to the Employee Rewards page within your Edge app.
Rewards Earned is the total amount of Rewards that have been earned by your team, regardless of whether or not you have marked them as paid.
Rewards Pending are the rewards that you need to mark as paid. This number should be as close to 0 as possible because that will mean that there aren't Rewards that are just waiting to be paid by you and your team and your employees are receiving their rewards in a timely manner.
Rewards Paid are the Rewards that you have marked as paid.
Distributing Rewards
Set a calendar invite for a day or two prior to your team finalizing payroll so you remember to export Employee Reward data from Edge and then upload that data into your payroll platform. This shouldn't take more than 5 minutes!
To distribute Rewards to your employees, navigate to the Distribute Rewards page within your Edge app.
Select all or select rewards that you want to distribute.
After you have the reward(s) that you want to distribute, click the 'Mark as Paid' button.
Click the 'Completed' tab in the upper right hand corner of the table to view the Rewards you have marked as paid.
On the 'Completed' tab, you will see all of the rewards you have paid, grouped by when you paid them. You can click a row to see more information and/or export this file to then upload into your payroll platform.
Setting up New Rewards
To set up a new reward (or modify the existing rewards), navigate to the Manage Rewards page within your Edge app. If you don't see this page within your app, please contact our support team at support@ouredge.com
After going to the Manage Rewards page within your Edge app, enable the channels you want to incentive your team for.
Customize the Reward per channel
Reward Type: options include Cash, Gift Card, Item/Gift, and Other. You choose what works best for your team. We recommend choosing Cash or Gift Card
Reward Name: give your reward a name... for example: $25 Amazon Gift Card
Estimated Cash Value: enter in the estimated cash value per action (i.e. $5 per mention or per SMS Feedback)
Number of Actions needed to Redeem: enter in a 'minimum' that the employee needs to hit before they can redeem this reward (i.e. 5 mentions needed to redeem the $25 Gift Card). We recommend not having a threshold so the team is as engaged as possible but having a minimum is a good way to control the budget for the rewards if you are concerned about that.
Reward Availability: this is the 'maximum' number of Rewards that your team can earn in a given month. We recommend not having a maximum so your team stays as engaged as possible.
If the Reward Availability is maxed out in a given month, the team will start from 0 next month and continue to have a chance to earn rewards! Our system will do the tracking for you!
Tips:
π Take instructions from this document and paste them into your company's standard operating documents (SOPs) so that your team has a process around this!
π² The more Reward channels you have enabled, the more motivated your team will be to be engaged and drive business growth! We recommend enabling them all!
