Outbrain DSP Sales Tax Changes FAQ
Updated over a month ago

This help page answers the most frequent questions regarding the new sales tax on the Outbrain DSP fee that went into effect on July 1, 2022, for certain clients located in the US.

Why am I being charged now?

U.S. customers may be subject to state and local sales taxes. The postal code entered for your company's shipping address will determine whether the platform fees are subject to tax and the applicable state and local tax rates. Sales tax charges will be included as a line item on your billing statement or invoice.

What is the effective date of the changes?

Sales tax (if applicable) will be reflected on the invoices issued after July 1st.

Who is affected?

Outbrain DSP will begin to collect the sales tax on platform fees, if applicable, based on your shipping address. If you believe your business shipping address is different than your billing address or needs to be updated, please contact ar@Zemanta.com or your Outbrain DSP representative.

What should I do if my business is an exempt organization?

Please send your exemption certificate to ar@Zemanta.com so that we may update our records accordingly.
