Curated Inventory Packages is our premium targeting functionality that enables effortless targeting by utilizing our pre-configured inventory packages tailored to reach specific audiences or campaign objectives, removing the complexity of manual targeting configuration.

Leveraging Outbrain's proprietary segmentation, informed by our unique user interest data and contextual analysis, these packages offer precise targeting with minimal effort required from you, allowing you to reach your target audience and campaign objectives effectively.

There are 12 curated inventory packages currently available:

Seasonal Audiences:

Connect with users engaged in time-specific events and seasonal activities, ensuring your ads resonate with the right context and timing. Seasonal audience packages are updated during the year, depending on the season and include packages such as:

  • Sports Events:

    • Olympic Games: Reach users who frequently engage with articles related to the Olympic games, as well as articles with content related to the Olympics.

    • Football Fans: Reach users who frequently engage with articles related to football, as well as articles and pages containing football content.

  • Summer Travel: Reach users interested in traveling and summer travel-related content, such as cruises or camping.

  • Festival-goers: Reach an audience of users who frequently engage with music-related content.

  • Winter Season: Engage with high-intent audiences during the winter holiday season to maximize your seasonal marketing impact.

Engaged Audiences:

Target users who frequently engage in habits such as shopping or signing up for online services, ensuring your ads reach highly engaged audiences.

  • Frequent MSN visitors: Serve your ads to users who have recently visited MSN and its properties.

  • B2B: Serve your ads to users who frequently browse business-related pages or sign up for business services.

  • Frequent Shoppers: Targets users who have previously made a purchase or frequently add items to their cart.

  • Trackable Users: Target users who have consented to conversion tracking.

Tailored Inventory:

Optimize ad placement with criteria like viewability and content quality to enhance ad performance and align with specific campaign needs.

  • 70% viewability: Targets inventory where predicted viewability exceeds 70%. This package is powered by our proprietary viewability predictor that maximizes viewability performance all the way to the placement level.

  • Search arbitrage optimized: Targets a dynamically updated selection of inventory and an audience of users that has proven to perform well for search arbitrage advertisers.

  • Outbrain selected: Includes a dynamically updated list of websites that are periodically manually reviewed and categorized as brand-safe.

  • Exclude MFA Inventory: Exclude websites for which at least 25% of the traffic leads to made-for-advertising inventory.

Available inventory packages will be frequently updated based on our client's needs and seasonality.

Pricing:

Inventory packages are part of our premium offering designed to help advertisers scale with ease. Please note that we will be charging a % of the overall media cost (reported as a data cost) for each ad group leveraging one of those packages. You can select multiple packages at the same time. The targeting relation between different packages is AND.

IMPORTANT: It is not recommended to use this functionality with any other types of restrictive targeting to prevent delivery issues. If you are, for example, already targeting users based on a specific interest or have applied a narrow publisher allowlist, additionally selecting a curated inventory package would severely limit your reach and hence increase prices.
