Time-Based Reporting Breakdowns
Updated this week

Conversion data in the "By Hour of Day" and "By Date & Hour" dimensions is available starting since February 26, 2024. All data in the "By Time" dimension is reported in the EST timezone.

The "By Time" breakdowns and dimensions allow you to better understand the trends and behavior of your campaigns.

A consolidated "By Time" tab is available on each account level (All Accounts, Account, Campaign, and Ad Group), and it provides insights into daily, hourly, or time-of-day breakdowns.

By Date & Hour Dimension

You can use the By Date & Hour dimension to check performance and trends during specific hours on specific dates.

The data shown in the By Date & Hour dimension is available based on your selection in the date picker until today. You can view the data in this dimension for a maximum of 90 days.

Please note: Data in the By Date & Hour dimension might have some discrepancies compared to the Live tab and Chart data. This occurs due to separate tracking mechanisms that ensure the promptness of Live data. Live data should only be used for informational purposes and not used for final cost calculations.

By Hour of Day Dimension

Hour of day tab sums up metrics for each hour of the day during your selected time range.

This dimension is particularly useful in assessing whether there is a consistent pattern of higher traffic or performance during certain periods of the day.

Important:

  • Click time vs. conversion time: In the Outbrain DSP dashboard, conversions are attributed to the hour in which they actually occurred (that is, the hour that the tracking tag fired or when we received the conversion event from your server), which is sometimes not the same hour during which an ad was clicked.

  • Engagement metrics - including Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics - are not available in the By Hour of Day and By Hour & Date dimensions.

  • The time of data reported in our dashboard depends on reports from our supply partners.
