To export personas for building Lookalike Audiences in Meta, follow these steps:
1. Ensure tagging is active on the personas page. If it is not, activate it first and then allow some time for the data to populate back across all your existing profiles (depending on your customer count, this could take up to 24 hours).
2. Go to the Signal Feed page.
3. Click Show Filters, Persona is one of: Choose the first persona on the list.
4. Once you have the first persona group selected, click EXPORT and then choose the 'Meta LAL Import' option. This will export the file for you in a ready for Meta format so you don't need to modify any columns further.
5. Repeat this same process for all personas so that you have a separate export for each.
6. Upload each CSV to Meta to create distinct lookalike audiences, pair with creative assets unique to each persona group and run campaigns.
When considering the size of your audience, be aware that if you have a small number of profiles on the platform, segmenting by multiple personas may result in lists that are too small for effective Lookalike Audiences in Meta. To address this, consider expanding the number of profiles in OuterSignal to create larger custom audiences.
