Adding a Competitor

Administrator users can set up a Competitor by clicking the Add competitors button

in the Competition Company Settings

To set up a Competitor, the Administrator can search for a business name and zip code (or street address) and click Search

The Admin will select which brand they would like to begin monitoring by clicking on Match this business

It may take a few moments to load relevant results, while Ovation attempts to match each saved Ovation Location to a nearby competitor Street Address

If a nearby match is not found for a location, the Administrator may either leave the Location unmatched or click on the pencil icon to refine the search for an individual location.

To update the matched competitor result, select an location and click Save changes

The Administrator may also opt to exclude the Ovation location from competitor monitoring, for the given brand, by checking the Exclude match checkbox

After all locations have been configured to the Administrator's specifications, they will click Activate Competitor

to begin pulling in review data for the brand"

*Note: Processing the Competitor online review data may take up to 24 hours to complete

Managing Competitors

Competitor brands may be managed in Competition Settings. To update or change Location matches, click on the pencil icon to return to the Location matching screen.

Note: Locations added to the Ovation account after the initial Competitor configuration can be added to Competition monitoring this way. New Locations will not be automatically assigned to a Competitor match to prevent unconfirmed matching.

To remove a Competitor from monitoring, the Administrator can click on the trash can icon and click Confirm.

Competition Reporting

All users may review Competition Reporting, if their Location is configured with a Competitor match

To filter the result set the user may leverage the Date filter, Locations filter (depending on Access Permissions) and Competitors (depending on how Competition has been configured)
