How do I create an offer?
Offers are coupons or discounts that can be sent and redeemed by your customers and tracked through Ovation.
Offers can be attached to any conversation or campaign.
To create an offer, select “Take Action” from the top menu and then select “Offers”
Click “Create an Offer”
When creating a new offer, you will be asked to add a title to your offer. This is so that you can easily use this offer in the future. This title will not be shown to your customers.
You can also add any details to the offer that you would like such as terms, conditions, expiration dates, instructions for customer/staff, and coupon codes.
You may also choose which locations this offer will apply to.
Adding a redemption code to the offer
You can add generic or one-time-use redemption codes to an offer.
Codes are generated from your end by your POS or Online Ordering page. These codes will then be displayed to customers when they redeem the offer so that the cashier or your online ordering platform automatically applies the discount.
To upload a list of unique one-time-use codes, select "Upload Promo Codes" and then upload a single-column CSV file with the header being "code" and the list of codes following (see below).
On-premise codes are used when customers are physically at the location and can show their redemption screen to the person at checkout. They will display on the customer's phone when they redeem the offer.
Off-premise codes are codes that can be redeemed online. You can also add your online URL to redirect them once they have copied the code.
Attaching an offer to a campaign
When creating a campaign, you will be prompted to write the main body of the message in step 3. Below, you will see the same "+ Offer" or coupon icon as when you attach an offer to a conversation. The process is then the same as attaching an offer to a conversation.
