Promos are a great way to bring customers back and generate additional revenue for your business.
How your Customers Use a Promo
When sending a promo either through Winback or a text campaign, your customer will receive a redemption link that is unique to them.
When clicked, they will be presented with your branded redemption page that you set up with any relevant details.
When the customer is ready to redeem the promo, they will simply tap "Redeem Now".
To avoid premature redemptions, they will be asked to confirm that they are at the location and they are ready to redeem immediately. To confirm, they will tap "Yes, I'm ready to redeem".
The promo has now been redeemed and the customer is presented with a screen that they will show at checkout.
How You Confirm a Redemption
At checkout, your guest will show you the redemption page. To confirm that it is a legit promo, look for the confetti falling slowly in the background. Also, make sure that the timer is counting down from 15 minutes.
If the 15-minute timer runs out or they try to use that link again to redeem, it will show on the screen as "Already Redeemed" and is no longer valid.
If the promo has a set expiration date on it and the date has already passed, it will say "Expired on _______" and is no longer valid.
Troubleshooting
What if someone tries to record the redemption page?
If you are suspicious that someone is trying to manipulate the system by recording their phone's screen, you can tap on their phone to verify. If, when you tap, the video playback buttons appear at the bottom, you know that this is a screen recording that they are presenting to you. You can also confirm by logging into your dashboard and pulling up that customer to see when the promo was first redeemed.
What if someone accidentally redeems the promo prematurely?
If someone is claiming to have accidentally redeemed the promo, you can verify when it was redeemed by logging into your account and looking up that customer to see their redemption timeline.
