Selling Content Made with Over

You can absolutely use Over to make and sell content! It simply needs to be in accordance with our Terms of Use.

Terms of Use

One part of our Terms of Use relevant to commercial use is as follows:

  • "Our Services are provided for your personal and commercial use except when our Service Content is used to create end products for sale where the lifetime sales of the end product for sale exceeds 400 units. An end product for sale can be either a digital design or physical item created using our Services that you and/or your client intends to sell. End products using our Service Content must be a unique implementation of the Service Content, significantly different than the original piece of Service Content and require time, effort, and skill to produce."

In summary, you're welcome to use the fonts, graphics and images (from Unsplash and Pixabay) for both commercial and personal use. The limit for commercial use is 400 end units. So you're more than welcome to create a design (for a physical t-shirt or digital wallpaper, for example) and sell 400 of the product. If it looks like you'll be selling more, feel free to reach out to hello@overhq.com and we can help you arrange an extended license, thanks!

To put "unique implementation" simply, this means that you have taken the piece of content and created something unique, instead of simply selling the font or graphic file as is. So, placing a graphic on a T-shirt, for example, creates an unique implementation. With this is mind, all users should also be aware of the Terms of Use of the platform they may be using for sales, Etsy or Amazon Merch for example, as they must also be adhered to.

Although, just to note, you can't sell 400 T-shirts with a blue logo (using a Graphic or image from Over) and then change the color to red, and sell another 400. Each item (graphic, font, image, template from Over) can only be sold 400 times under the current Terms & Conditions.
