Yes - urban farms, urban food forests, and small scale vegetable plots can be modeled in Overyield.
The below screenshots depict an urban farm built in Overyield. The design incorporates both perennials and annuals, including closely-seeded vegetable crops and temperate agroforestry species.
There are several tips that can assist urban farmers as they get started in Overyield:
1. Draw out your parcel boundaries in Google Earth Pro, then import them to Overyield as KML files via the Farm Boundary layer. This will help you locate the urban parcels.
2. Use the line tool to map out your bed spacing and the Roads layer to map out your alleys. See the below video for a walk through of this process.
In-row spacing represents the length of your beds.
Between row spacing represents bed width + alley width.
