What does a boiler service include?
Updated over a week ago

You should have your boiler serviced at least once a year to ensure it functions correctly and does not have any water or gas leaks even if you don't spot any signs of damage or wear and tear. There can be issues that can go unnoticed.

Not performing an annual boiler service could affect your boiler's performance, you could experience a boiler breakdown, or you could even invalidate your warranty.

Boiler services can vary for each company/engineer but ours will always include the following:

  • A visual check of the boiler.

  • The boiler is being fired safely to identify any working faults.

  • A flue gas analysis efficiency test.

  • Opening up the boiler and inspecting it, if necessary.

  • Checking the flue and ventilation are in accordance with Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.

  • Checking and adjusting the system pressure.

  • Cleaning the condensate trap.

  • Visually checking and bleeding radiators, if necessary.

  • A visual check of the hot water cylinder.

  • Cleaning of the boiler’s filter (if you ask us to). We won’t be held liable for damage caused by the cleaning process or removal of the filter.

Please note, the boiler service doesn't include:

  • Testing the system for the presence of sludge

  • Testing or topping up system inhibitor levels

  • Repair of damage or faults identified during the service

  • Servicing of hot water cylinders

  • Servicing of other gas appliances other than the boiler
