In most cases, a charger can process your charging request within seconds but starting a session can occasionally be slower. It can take up to 5 minutes for the session to start and your app to change to enter the "charging mode". If the app doesn't receive any response from the charger within this timeframe, it will automatically timeout the attempt, so your app doesn't get stuck.
Analogically, it might take a moment to stop the charging session. Please bear this in mind while using any chargers that have overstay fees put in place.
