How do I interact in a scenario using my computer? | Oxford Medical Simulation Help Center

This guide will help you navigate using OMS on screen - without VR equipment and/or for distanced learning.

Log into the OMS Web App.

Launch the scenario you want to use via the Scenarios page.

The scenario will appear on your computer screen. Watch this video to understand how to use scenarios on screen (password OM5):

Use your computer trackpad or mouse to navigate around the scenario. A white dot in the centre of your screen will serve as your cursor. You use your trackpad or mouse to turn and view about your environment.

Just as in the VR scenario items and people that you can interact with will glow blue. Once something is highlighted in blue, click your left mouse button or your space bar to interact with it.

Scroll through menus using your mousepad or external mouse.

Once you are ready to leave the scenario navigate towards the door in your scenario and select, when the option to "Leave Scenario" appears. You can then go through your guided reflection and feedback on screen.
