Quick guide to translating your announcement.
What you can translate
Title, Subheading, Button text, CTA URL, Free shipping success message.
Cannot translate: coupon code, free shipping amount — these stay as typed in every language.
How to add one
Open the announcement, click Add Translations next to the field.
Pick a language (pulled from your Shopify Settings → Languages) and type your translation.
Repeat for each language, then save.
Known issue: storefront language detection currently isn't working correctly, so shoppers see your default-language text regardless of their language. Still worth setting translations up now — they'll go live automatically once this is fixed. Our team is working on it.
Good to know
Admin preview always shows English, even with translations added.
Matching is exact — "French" won't match "French (Canada)".
Separate from Shopify Markets / Translate & Adapt.
