Getting Started with PA-AI (Product Analysis Intelligence)

Written by PA-Team

Audience: New users running their first project in PA-AI.

Goal: Take a user from sign-up to a generated report in one pass.

Estimated time: ~30 minutes for first project setup and analysis.

PA-AI is an AI-powered product analysis platform that turns raw research, strategy, and design materials into structured insights. The platform runs 8 specialized modules that move from foundational framing through opportunity discovery, development, operations, financial planning, compliance, and marketing strategy.

This guide walks through the full workflow: create an account, create a project, upload files, complete ingestion, run analysis, and download a report.

1. Create an account

  1. Go to the platform login page: https://rks-silk.vercel.app/login

  2. On the login page, click Sign Up (bottom of the form).

  3. On the Sign Up page, enter your Full Name, Email, and Password, then confirm your password.

  4. Click Create Account.

  5. After sign-up, you will land on the Projects page. This is your home base.

If you already have an account, enter your email and password on the Log In page and click Log In.

2. Create a project

The Projects page lists all of your active and archived projects.

  1. From the Projects page, click the green New Project button in the top-right of the project list.

  2. Fill in the project name and details when prompted, then save.

  3. The new project will open into the PA Workspace view, with the Modules panel on the left and the Upload files and assets area in the center.

Tip: From the Projects page you can switch between Active Projects and Archived Projects, search projects, sort by last modified, and toggle between Grid and List views.

3. Upload files for ingestion

Once inside a project, you are on the PA Workspace tab, with Information Ingestion → File Upload selected by default.

  1. In the Upload files and assets area, click the upload zone (or drag and drop files into it).

  2. Select the files you want PA-AI to analyze.

  3. Wait for each file to appear in the file list below the upload area with its name and size.

Supported file formats: PDF, DOC, PPT, TXT, JPEG, PNG, SVG.

What to upload: any relevant research, strategy, or design material the AI should base its analysis on — briefs, meeting notes, prior studies, design documents, COGS/pricing sheets, proposals, etc.

To remove a file you uploaded by mistake, click the trash icon on the right side of its row.

4. Complete ingestion (walk the flow)

After uploading, PA-AI parses your files and auto-populates the ingestion questions. You walk through each sub-step, review what the AI extracted, and confirm.

The Information Ingestion sub-steps are:

  1. File Upload — the screen you just used

  2. Definition — problem framing, timeline, team / RACI, go-to-market

  3. Competitive Landscape — market context, number of competitors, competitor types, regionality

  4. Demographics

  5. Psychographics

  6. Interactivity

  7. Branding

  8. Constraints

  9. Review — final confirmation before analysis

To move through ingestion:

  1. On the Definition step, scroll through each auto-populated field. The AI fills them in based on your files; you can edit any answer directly in the text box.

  2. Click Save & Next Step in the bottom-right footer to advance.

  3. Continue through each sub-step (Competitive Landscape, Demographics, etc.), reviewing and editing as needed.

  4. The final ingestion step is Review. This shows every section the AI captured — Problem definition, Competitive landscape definition, Target audience demographics, and so on.

  5. Use the Edit (pencil) icon on any section in Review to jump back and change an entry before submitting.

  6. When you are satisfied with the review, click Submit for Analysis in the bottom-right footer.

5. Start analysis

After submitting for analysis, an Ingestion Complete pop-up appears.

Module 1 will now analyze your materials. This usually takes a few minutes — you'll be taken to the Module 1 workspace to watch progress.

You have two choices:

  • Start Analysis — runs Module 1 (PA Foundation) immediately and takes you into its workspace.

  • I'll run later — closes the pop-up; you can launch analysis from the project at any time.

Click Start Analysis to begin. The workspace shows a Generating Content… spinner while output streams in. You will see content appear in the central frame as each step of the module completes (e.g., "Running — 7 of 78 steps").

6. Generate a report

When Module 1 finishes, the workspace top bar shows the module controls:

  • Run All Modules — runs every remaining module sequentially

  • Length toggle — switch between SHORT (Executive Summary), MEDIUM, and LONG

  • Download — downloads the current module's report at the selected length

  • Re-run Module — regenerates the current module from scratch

To pull a report for a single module:

  1. Select the length you want (SHORT, MEDIUM, or LONG) using the toggle.

  2. Click Download to save that report.

Note: Report output is still being refined in this release.

7. Run all modules

To get the full analysis across every module:

  1. From any module's workspace, click Run All Modules in the top bar.

  2. The remaining modules begin running sequentially. You will see each module light up in the left Modules panel as it runs, and Generating Content… appears in the workspace while the current module is in progress.

  3. Once a module completes, you can navigate to it in the left panel to view its output and download its report.

8. Reopen a project later

Projects persist in your account. To open one again:

  1. Click Projects in the left navigation rail.

  2. Find your project in the Active Projects grid.

  3. Click Launch Project on the project card.

  4. You will land back in the project's workspace, with all modules and prior output preserved.

9. View the Module Overview

To see the structure of all modules across the platform:

  1. Click Modules in the left navigation rail (the icon with four squares).

  2. The Module Contents page lists every module with a one-line description.

  3. Click any module to expand its sub-modules and sections, or use Expand all / Collapse all at the top right.

You can also see the per-project module structure inside any open project, in the Modules panel on the left side of the workspace.

  • Right frame multi-function area (help, tags, files, revisions)

  • Horizontal / sticky menus that stay on top when scrolling

  • Help walk-through content

  • Projects: tags, archive project

  • Module Overview: information and content depth

  • Reports: output quality tuning

  • Plans: payments, plan setup
