Why would I want to sell vouchers?

Selling vouchers through Paage is a great way to generate revenue in advance, manage capacity, or offer special experiences. For example, you could sell:

  • Prepaid brunch menus for special weekends

  • Vouchers for wine tastings or chef’s tables

  • Gift vouchers that customers can send to friends and family

  • Experiences like “Dinner for Two” or “Cocktail Masterclass”

Vouchers help streamline bookings, reduce no-shows, and make your offering feel more exclusive.

Creating a Voucher on Paage

  1. Log in to your Paage dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Products >Vouchers section.

  3. Click + New product.

  4. Fill in the voucher details, such as:

    • Voucher name

    • Description

    • Price : Per unit, per person, per couple

    • VAT Rate

    • Location

    • Validity period

⏳ How does the validity period work?

In Paage, the validity period defines how long a voucher can be used starting from the date of purchase.

You simply choose a number of days — for example:

      • 30 days: the voucher is valid for a full month

      • 365 days: valid for one year

      • Perpetual: The voucher does not expire

      🛎️ Example:
If a customer buys a voucher on July 1st and the validity is set to 30 days, they can use it until July 31st.

This model ensures that each customer has a fair and consistent time window to use their voucher, no matter when they buy it.

    • More info: limit unit per purchase, add age restriction, limit total quantity

      🔞 Age restriction?

Use this if your event or experience includes alcohol or is otherwise age-sensitive (e.g., a bar crawl, spirits tasting, or 18+ themed night).

🔢 Limit total quantity — when should I use this?

This option sets a cap on the total number of vouchers that can be sold — across all customers.

Even though you're not selling tickets for a specific event date, limiting quantity can still be useful in situations like:

      • You’re offering a limited-time gift experience (e.g., only 100 “cocktail class for 2” vouchers available)

      • You want to test demand without overcommitting

      • You want to create a sense of exclusivity or urgency (“Only 50 vouchers available!”)

This is especially relevant for gift vouchers where customers can choose when to redeem — but you still want to control how many are in circulation.

      🛎️ Example:
You’re offering a new brunch experience. You create a voucher valid for 3 months, but only allow 75 to be sold to keep it manageable for your kitchen and staff.

  5. Click Continue.

    Then, Add Media (5 recommended).

🖼️ What kind of media should I add?

High-quality visuals can dramatically increase engagement and conversions.

    Tips:

    • Use a hero image that tells the story in one glance (e.g., a dish, a vibe, a group enjoying the event)

    • Avoid cluttered or dark photos

    • Add your logo to build trust

    • Use short videos or reels

Think of your media as the poster for your event — it should grab attention and set the tone.

    Once saved, you can:

    • Configure your Voucher page by clicking the blue Configure button, or simply click directly on any section to edit it.

This is the view you’ll see after clicking on Configure:

    • Add tags by selecting from the existing list or by creating new ones.

🏷️ What are tags used for?

Tags help categorize and promote your product more effectively. For example:

      • “Brunch”

      • “Cocktails”

      • “Live music”

      • “Couples”

      • “Gift idea”

    • Add or edit your product description.

  • Add Product Stories

This is your chance to tell the story behind the event or experience. The product story appears on the voucher’s page and should:

  • Describe the experience clearly

  • Build excitement and anticipation

  • Answer key questions (what, where, when, what’s included?)

Example:

Join us for an intimate rooftop dinner under the stars, featuring a 5-course tasting menu by our head chef and a curated wine pairing.

An unforgettable evening in the heart of the city.

Your tone can be fun, luxurious, casual — whatever fits your brand.

Product stories help create a stronger connection with your customers and make your offering more memorable.

You can add product stories by connecting your Instagram account, via a download link, from saved stories you've already used on Paage, or by uploading them from your device.

    📍 Why put a location?

Adding a location helps your customers know where the event or experience is taking place — especially important if your business has multiple branches or if the event is off-site (e.g., a food truck pop-up or a rooftop dinner).

This also ensures the voucher is only redeemable at the correct venue and avoids confusion.
