Adding detection-adding odor

Here’s how to quickly add a detection training event/exercise with odors.

· Click the yellow button +Records and then training…

· When slide tray opens, set the date & time and the duration of the event

· If you’re adding this on a computer and want name the location, give it a name to save as a drop down for use in the future. This saves time later on.

· Add the address for this newly named training location

· Optional data can be added or left and you can click the yellow Next button

· Select Detection for the training discipline. (the system learn which one use most and remember it)

· Click +ADD ENVIRONMENT

· Choose your environment type. I’m going to choose vehicles as an example.

· Type in the total number of this environment type. I’m using 10 vehicles as an example.

· After entering the number 10, the system will allow me to add a vehicle with an odor. Click the +ADD VEHICLE WITH ODOR. Then name the vehicle that has an odor. I’m naming mine a Ford Mustang. Click the DONE button.

· Click the +ADD ODOR button.

o Fill in the various fields about the target odor

§ Drugs

§ Cocaine

§ Amount is 5

§ Weight is in Grams – Packaging is plastic bag. (You can type in whatever you use)

§ Concealed location- I hid it in the grill of the Ford Mustang

· Click Done. If you place more than 1 target odor on the vehicle, just click +ADD ODOR

· Type in a goal for the exercise. Click the yellow Save button

There’s many optional fields that you might find useful when creating an exercise and we encourage you to explore them, All of these options promote greater record keeping data for your presentations in a courtroom setting.
