This graph shows the distribution of page views for all visits that occurred during the specified time period. Hovering over the graph at various points will show the visit count for each individual page.

How is this helpful?

The Page Visit guide is useful as it gives an indication of how your version is retaining its readers. For example, if readers are landing on the cover of your version and then decide they don’t want to read it, they’ll have registered a view for the cover and nothing else. If this happens consistently, you’ll probably observe a head and a long tail in your graph. This shows that most readers are not reading the entire document.

However, if the graph declines less dramatically, this suggests improved retention and that visitors are reading more of the document.
