How to automate a module
Updated over a week ago

What is Automation?

Automation is an exciting feature that makes it possible to automatically trigger Interactivity without the visitor needing to select a clickable area on the page. Simply add the module off page and add Automation to the module that will 'trigger' it.

Example

Ryan has created a Social Media Policy and would like to test his staff on the information shown in a video within the document. In order to do this, he uses Automation to automatically launch an Assessment module once the video has finished playing.

How to set up Automation

  • Navigate to a Document.

  • Select ‘Interactivity’ for the Version of the Document that you want to work on.

A minimum of two modules are required to set up Automation.

  • Module 1 - This is the module that you want to automate - ensure it is positioned off-page.

  • Module 2 - This is the module is the 'trigger' and where you will add Automation to.

  • Click on module 2 on your page, and select the wand icon from the fly-out menu.

  • Select the ‘Add Automation’ button.

  • A ‘Settings’ box will then display ready to set up the Automation.
