Let's looks at the first menu option - BOQ Tool.
This is the section where you will be able view all your current BOQ Tools settings, update/change them, or override them with a different pre-made Tool. Let's take a look at the different portions of the BOQ Tool section.
Populate Fields From User Tool β If you click the drop down menu you will see all Entity and User Tools, when you select a Tool you will see a Pop-up which gives you 3 different options;
Cancel β Cancel's override
Apply Tool β This will apply the Tool Settings such as Colour, Border Colour, Line Weight, etc.
Apply Tool and Override BOQ Data β This will apply not only the Tool Settings but also BOQ Data such as Coating Systems, Rate/Unit, etc.
Next is the Tool Name, when you edit this portion of the Tool this will change how it is displayed not only on the Legend but also the Charges Table.
Below that is the Calculation Type, this will affect how the Tool calculates it's measurements, whether it's Surface Area, Lineal Metre, Item, etc.
Afterwards is the Display Properties of the Tool, this is where you can change the Line Weight (how thick it is), the Colour, Border Colour (outside line colour), etc.
Next is the Default Height, this will set the Default Height of any BOQ you create using this Tool to pre-populate the details with.
Below that is the Highlight checkbox, what this does is it will set the Drawings to be see-through (like a highlighter) so that you can see through the drawings and view the Canvas beneath.
Lastly is the Save To User Tools, this allows you save any changes you have made as it's own separate Tool to your User Profile.
And finally is the Current BOQ Details, this will show you the Total Calculations of the BOQ you have currently selected.
