Let's learn how to add a new Page so you can get to Marking Up!
Firstly, navigate to the Pages Menu on the side bar on the left hand side of the screen. If you've just started a brand new Project then you will automatically start on the Pages Menu.
Next you want to select the Add New Page button
This will cause a pop-up to appear where you will be able to select or upload a Page/Document and assign certain details to it. Let's have a look at the different sections of the Add Page pop-up:
Sub-Location – This is where you will create or assign a Sub-Location to the Page, this means any BOQ's created on this Page will automatically be assigned under this Sub-Location 1.
Page Name – This will assign a title to the Page which you can use to identify and search for.
BOQ's – This is where you can select any BOQ's that have not been assigned to a Page already or deselect any BOQ's that are associated with this particular Page.
Next you will see 3 separate buttons – Convert PDF, Upload Image, From Attachments.
Let's have a look at how each one works!
Convert PDF – Select a PDF document by either dragging and dropping the document in the designated area or select the Browse option to navigate to the document on your local PC and select the file.
Once you've selected your file, choose what Quality/Resolution you want to upload this Page. You will be able to see the Projected Resolution underneath the Scale Options. If, however, this is a Scanned/Raster PDF, make sure that you select the "This is a scanned/raster PDF" option.
Next, if the document you've selected has multiple pages to it you can scroll through the pages using the PREV or NEXT buttons, or you can manually type in the Page Number.
Finally, if you want to rotate the page select the the rotate buttons and if you wish to Greyscale the page simply select the Greyscale option.
Pro Tip
It is highly recommended that you upload ALL Pages as the same Quality/Resolution within the same Project when uploading via the Convert PDF method. This will help with any Cloning or Duplicating of BOQ's.
Upload Image – Select an Image by either dragging and dropping the document in the designated area or select the Browse option to navigate to the Image on your local PC and select the file.
Finally, if you want to rotate the page select the the rotate buttons and if you wish to Greyscale the Image simply select the Greyscale option.
Pro Tip
Images will upload at their native Quality/Resolution.
From Attachments – Select an option from the available files in the drop down menu. If you want to rotate the page select the the rotate buttons and if you wish to Greyscale the Image simply select the Greyscale option.
Pro Tip
If you have uploaded any pages via the Attachments Screen or in the Measure Tool already they will appear in the drop down menu.
Once you've uploaded your pages, you will see them appear under the Pages Tab with their associated Page Name and Sub-Location 1.
