Setting the Scale for a Page

Updated over a year ago

Once you've uploaded a Page, you'll want to find a measurement on the Page to use to begin setting the Scale. Once you've found the first measurement you'll want to try and get as close to the starting point and click on it. You can hold shift to snap the measurement line on increments of 45 degrees. Next you want to click the on the end point, a red line should now appear.

You will notice on the right hand side of your screen a header called Scale and underneath it you can enter the details for the Scale. This is where you will want to enter the details for the line you just measured. In this instance I will type 8.15 because the Units are in Metres.

Once you've typed the Scale you'll want to hit the SET button. You will be greeted with a Confirm Scale popup. Now you'll want to measure a second measurement on the Page and repeat the process, except instead of entering the measurement you'll want to confirm if the system has measured it correctly. If it is not you'll want to select the RESET button and start the process again.

Pro Tip

It is best to measure both a vertical and horizontal measurement to ensure the most accurate scale is set.

The scale can be reset at any time, but keep in mind, if you have any mark ups on the page already they will be affected by the new scale.

Once you've set the Scale for a single page, you will notice that over in the Scale section there will now be a "APPLY CURRENT SCALE TO ALL PAGES" button, select this to apply the Scale settings you've just set to ALL currently uploaded pages. BE WARNED – It is highly recommended you double the the Scale is correct for each page afterwards and you should NOT use this function if you have uploaded pages at different resolutions. You can always Recalibrate individual pages Scales.
